Coachella Introduces NFTs and a Collection That Includes Lifetime Festival Passes

NFTs are non-fungible tokens that can be in the form of art, video, or audio—simply, NFTs can be anything. These tied NFTs to the blockchain only exists alone and are impossible to duplicate on the internet.

NFTs became so popular last year that celebrities like Justin Bieber recently bought a Bored Ape for 500 ETH, equivalent to $1.29 Million.

Even Paris Hilton, a guest in Jimmy Fallon’s ‘Tonight Show’ last January 25, discussed NFTs with him. Even audiences on that day received her first NFT from her upcoming collection “Forever Fairytale.”

The unstoppable NFT even caught Adidas’s attention. The company took part in the Bored Ape Yacht Club and purchased a bored ape artwork.

NFTs as tickets or passes for the upcoming events is no surprise for some, but this NFT ticket concept will certainly intrigue not-into-NFTs attendees of the event.

The annual music and arts festival, Coachella, enters the NFT craze.

The NFT concept plays a massive role in lifetime access and iconic festival photos for this year’s event. In partnership with a cryptocurrency exchange FTX, Coachella passes will be auctioned through a marketplace on Solana.

Coachella Keys Collection

The lifetime access to Coachella, the Coachella Keys Collection will only exist of 10 one-of-a-kinds NFTs. The NFT keys will grant the holder to attend the Coachella event every April to one festival weekend.

According to their website, bidding on keys will start on February 4 at 10:00 PT.

Sights and Sounds Collection

The iconic photos of the festival and soundscapes from Polo Fields consist of ten digital collectibles. The collection offers a redeemable physical form of the artwork, but attendees should mint the collection first before having one.

Desert Reflections Collection 

In celebration of Coachella’s 20th anniversary, these digital renders from Emek are redeemable for a physical copy. By minting, buyers will receive a random poster for $180.00.
