Mastercard, a global payment technology solutions company, was reported to be divulging into the world of NFTs. The payment giant submitted 15 related trademarks, which could mean that Mastercard is up for virtual-based business competition in the industry.
The trademarks submitted contain filings that are not only limited to multimedia files and artwork that are verified as NFTs. The trademark also includes the slogan “Priceless” and the red and yellow logo or “Circles,” which will be used for paying for goods and services in the metaverse.
The Mastercard giant doesn’t stop there; it also filed for trademarks for its brand name for events and concerts held through the virtual space.
