The American basketball league continues to do more with NFTs and the metaverse itself. Trademark lawyer, Josh Gerben, revealed NBA’s latest filed patents last Tuesday, April 12. The NBA filed NFT patents last April 7, but it was publicized four days later.

The filing made by the league was called “The Association,” based on its content, multiple forms of virtual products consist of basketball memorabilia, jerseys, trading cards, game tickets, memes, and many more.
According to a report from CoinDesk, NBA also has something to do with the domain Ethereum Name Service (ENS), now owning both “nba.eth” and “theassociationnft.eth.”
The latest buzz indicates NBA is expanding its plans into Web 3, specifically the NFTs.
