Confirmed By the Facebook and Meta Chief Executive Officer, Mark Zuckerberg, the photo and video sharing platform, Instagram, is set to be integrating NFTs in the future. Zuckerberg confirmed the news himself through SXSW, a known conference-holding company since the 1980s.
The announcement confirmed by the Facebook CEO was rumored already last January—both Facebook and Instagram reported experimenting with NFT features that will be included in their platform.
While it is unsure how non-fungible tokens will play on the Instagram platform, it is confirmed to be part of the IG experience.
